Lngardei Lenasalon is the Responsible Investments and Safeguards Coordinator at IMPACT Kenya, where he leads initiatives at the intersection of human rights and environmental stewardship. With a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Enterprise and Management from Egerton University, Lenasalon combines technical expertise in natural resources with a deep commitment to legal advocacy for marginalized populations.
Throughout his career with the Indigenous Movement for Peace Advancement and Conflict Transformation (IMPACT), he has served in vital roles including, Community Resource Person, Community Paralegal and Program Officer. He has specialized in conducting critical research on the socio-environmental impacts of large-scale renewable energy projects on indigenous communities and facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogues to ensure community voices are heard.
His professional background is complemented by advanced certifications from the University of Pretoria and the University of Cambridge in Business and Human Rights, Indigenous People’s Rights, and the Paris Agreement. Lenasalon is a strong proponent of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) and has extensive experience training Community Land Management Committees on legal frameworks and sustainable land use.
Beyond his professional life, Lenasalon is a student of heritage and the outdoors. He finds balance by studying Samburu oral history and hiking through Kenya’s diverse landscapes.
