Coordinator- Maiyanat Indigenous Youth Life Skills Arts & Cultural Development Centre

 John Losiramongi Ndesi serves as a Project Coordinator for Life Skills Development at the Maiyanat Indigenous Youth Life Skills, Arts and Culture Development Centre, where he leads apprenticeship-based empowerment initiatives for young people across Northern Kenya. His work centers on strengthening employability and enhancing socioeconomic resilience among youth in indigenous communities. 

With a deep passion for youth empowerment and community transformation, John is driven by the need to address persistent unemployment and unlock the potential of indigenous young men and women. He joined the organization with a commitment to creating practical pathways that equip youth with market-ready skills, confidence, and opportunities for sustainable livelihoods. 

At the heart of his work is a belief in communityled development, integrity, and inclusivity. John ensures that every program is locally grounded and responsive to the real needs of the communities he serves. With over five years of experience in public administration and enterprise development, he brings strong expertise in governance, youth empowerment, and enterprise support. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management (Entrepreneurship) from Mount Kenya University. 

When the laptop closes, John enjoys mentoring young people, engaging in community initiatives, and exploring indigenous cultural heritage. He is also passionate about sport and believes in the power of sports to inspire discipline, teamwork, and unity.
