Tiampati Kiteru ole Rana

Mr. Tiampati is currently working in the Kenya National Assembly as a Deputy Director, having joined the Parliamentary Service in November 2003 as a Clerk Assistant Cadet. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc. Hons) and master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Nairobi. He has attended a number of courses on leadership, Management, Parliamentary procedures and practice, Administration, Research skills development, Training Needs Assessment (TOT), strategic planning, and parliamentary functions and roles. He served as the Principal Assistant to the Clerk of the National Assembly, Head of the Clerk’s Office, and alternate Administrator for the Parliamentary Car Loans and Mortgages Scheme.

Mr. Tiampati has been exposed to a number of public administrations and parliamentary jurisdictions through attachment programmes and study visits. This includes the workings of National Parliaments of South Africa, Rwanda, New Zealand, Germany, Philippines, Japan, El Salvador, Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Canada, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America as wells as Regional Legislatures among them Pan-African Parliament and East Africa Legislative Assembly. Further, he attended several Conferences, Seminars, and other Inter-Parliamentary Meetings hosted by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), Society of Clerk-at-the-Table (SoCATT), Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers Conference (CSPOC), Africa, Caribbean and Pacific – European Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly (ACP-EU JPA) and Inter–Parliamentary Union (IPU)
