Florence Nasieku Lesoloyia
Project Manager

My name is Nasieku Lesoloyia I serve as the Program Manager for the Women Economic Empowerment & Resilience in Pastoralist project. A project that aims to increase the productivity, income, control over resources, and agency of pastoralist women that subsequently translate to better household nutrition, financial power, land rights and Maternal Infant and Young child Nutrition (MIYCN).

I am very passionate about Women and Youth Economic empowerment. I am a business coach and through my career I have witnessed deeply entrenched structural and cultural barriers to women  earning and controlling income and these barriers not only constrain their ability to contribute to household income but also limit their capacity to provide nutritious diets and adequate care for young children and this has shaped my passion to drive programs that transform pastoralist women into competitive market actors, improve household nutrition, and create climate-resilient systems, fostering long-term economic empowerment and resilience in Northern Kenya.

I always keep a reference to this great quote by Belinda Gates “Investing in women means Investing in the people who invest in everyone else”

My key identifier is accountability-I believe in building trust, transparency, and participation in the work I do.

I love the outdoors and when off work I love to live in the sunshine, swim in the rivers and drink the wild air exploring nature a touch that reminds me of the deep connection between humanity and the earth, offering peace and beauty. Road trips on Loud music and natural view are my thing anytime.
