Ledaany Danson Joel
Community Paralegal - Mt Kulal/ Loyangalani

Danson’s work is deeply rooted in his connection to land, community, and tradition. Growing up with a close appreciation for nature and local ways of life, he developed a strong belief that land is more than just a resource—it is identity, heritage, and future. This perspective continues to shape his commitment to supporting Indigenous communities in securing legally recognized rights to their lands and natural resources.

He works hand in hand with communities to navigate land registration processes, strengthen local governance, and promote sustainable resource management. For Danson, this is not just technical work—it is about ensuring that communities have the power to protect what has always been theirs and to pass it on to future generations.

Outside of his professional life, Danson enjoys herding, a practice that keeps him closely connected to the rhythms of the land and the traditions he values. It is in these moments that his work and personal life meet—both guided by a deep respect for community, culture, and the environment.
