Lesuuda Lmeriae
Research Coordinator

Lmeriai Lesuuda previously worked in pastoral settings across northern Kenya as a Health and Nutrition Coordinator before joining the IMPACT project as a Research Coordinator. A key focus of this role was strengthening community health systems within nomadic and hard-to-reach communities. Recognizing herd mobility as central to pastoralist resilience, Lesuuda supported the delivery of essential health and nutrition services along migratory routes and in seasonal grazing camps through mobile and moonlight outreaches, ensuring access for Morans, young herders, and other mobile populations.

Through facilitating community dialogues, coordinating field research, and supporting livestock and milk value chain development, Lesuuda is dedicated to advancing practical, locally driven interventions that create sustainable impact for pastoral communities. A strong believer in community-led development, Lesuuda values traditional knowledge, cultural sensitivity, and inclusive participation, to ensure communities are empowered and actively involved in shaping solutions that affect their lives and livelihoods.
