IMPACT Kenya has received formal appreciation from the National Drought Management Authority (NDMA) for its contribution to the successful implementation of the 2025 Short Rains Assessment in Laikipia County.

In the appreciation letter, NDMA acknowledged IMPACT Kenya’s financial support towards the initial and debriefing County Steering Group (CSG) meetings, as well as the organization’s active participation throughout the assessment process.

The assessment plays an important role in informing drought response planning, resilience programming, and livelihood interventions aimed at supporting vulnerable communities affected by climate-related risks.

This recognition reflects the value of collaborative action between government institutions and development partners in strengthening community resilience and improving preparedness for drought-related challenges.
